Don't You (Forget About Me)
A playlist compiled from comments on Twitter after I asked the question, "What is your favorite 80's song?"
You asked for it! (Well, not really, you just responded to a question I posted, en masse, so I decided we needed a playlist.) On Sunday, I asked Twitter what their favorite 80’s song was. I said you could only comment with one, so of course, I gave two. Then, the answers started coming in and they were FANTASTIC.
I got over 1,300 responses and I have gone through most of them to pull the strongest contenders. Trust me, this playlist, which is almost five hours long, has something for everyone and will take you right back to elementary, junior high, high school, college, your first job…really it is for everyone.
Working on this playlist has put me in a fantastic mood all week. I’m also pretty sure I emailed my college boyfriend after a few cocktails because I was reminiscing so hard, to tell him that one day I was going to make him slow dance with me to “The Flame” by Cheap Trick. I don’t know why. We didn’t even know each other in the 80’s. (Please God, let him have the smarts and foresight to have blocked me, or at least let him think that is as funny as I do.)
I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it. I’ll see you tomorrow, with another critical post on how we need to save democracy. Until then, I hope this helps to get you through your week with a smile. You can listen to it on iTunes here or on Spotify here.
Love,
