Girl, Bye.
The ultimate celebratory playlist for Biden's crushing victory over Donald J. Trump and for the historic wins that flipped the Senate!
Since many of us are still glued to the media coverage of the election, and just waiting for things to be official, I thought I would put out a playlist that you can listen to while you wait, or save for when you are popping corks. Girl, Bye will give you over 4 hours of feel good jams from several different decades, so there should be something for everyone. I will not be doing a Sunday Recap this week, because the whole week has been about the election and I wouldn’t know where to start. You can go through my Twitter feed to get a summary, as I have been mostly live tweeting the process.
I will be resuming the regular SHERO posting schedule next week, so stay tuned for some incredible upcoming content as we enter this new phase — one that includes a refreshing political safety net to insulate us from the onslaught of crazy that is on it’s way. I will be referring to the next year as the “sentencing phase,” and it looks to be juicy and loaded with critical details, so stay tuned, and I will make sure you are getting the most important aspects of everything.
Now is also a good time to remind everyone, who is signed up for the free articles delivered by email, that you should really consider upgrading today and getting a subscription. This next year is going to be like nothing we’ve ever seen and you don’t want to miss out on any publications. As for the election, I’m not saying anything yet for fear of a jinx, so I will address the major feelings about these moments later on, but until then, you should be set on the music front. You are responsible for getting your own booze. Don’t forget to keep taking this moment in, as soon as it is truly safe to do so.
You can listen on Spotify here or on iTunes here.
Love this playlist- only exception is every time I hear Village People I think of the #NarcissistInChief dancing. Hopefully this will change!
Enjoy the celebration with the world!! Well, maybe with the possible exception of Hungary, the Phillipines, and Russia. I think even China is celebrating that they won't have to be dealing with the loose (loser) cannon again! ;)
