Good morning and Happy Veteran’s Day! I wanted to dedicate a post to each and every person who has served our country, as well as their families who sacrifice so much for us. Rather than just give this sentiment lip-service, I wanted to find a way that we could all take action to show veterans what their service means to us.
The men and women of our military fight for our freedoms and to help secure the safety of others. Nothing will help to bolster the necessary protections that the US military fights for than to help support free and fair elections in the United States of America. It is critical that we pass the Voting Rights Act now, to ensure that the sacrifices of all veterans are not in vain.
Let’s make today a day of remembrance AND action. If you are on Twitter, I am asking that you send out a tweet with #HonorVetsPassVotingRightsAct or that you re-tweet content that is using that hashtag. Feel free to copy the exact wording I have used in the tweet below to put in to your own tweet to send out. You can also tweet that hashtag with a link to this post, to help call others to action on this issue. Hopefully, we can get this trending and we can remind people about what is truly at stake for the country and for our members of the military, who have given so much.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of your kind wishes and support over the last week — in case you didn’t know, my family has just lost two beloved pets within the time span of a few days, and it hit me harder than I could have imagined. SHERO will resume a full posting schedule next week, and I am excited about all of the great things that are to come. Thank you for giving me your valuable time — I so appreciate you.
Have a wonderful Veteran’s Day and let’s honor some vets!
Love,
Amee

1) Done.
2) Again, so truly sorry for the lose of your fur babies!
Losing one fuzzy family member is horrific... losing two in the same week is ungodly. Again offering deepest condolences on your losses & sending healing thoughts. <3
