But today, I am faced with an unusual proposition: the news cycle has slowed to a crawl (thank God) and I have been recovering from a break-through case of Covid for the last two weeks.
Good morning Amee! Sorry to hear of your 3rd round with covid. When I read the title "Let's Take Our Temps", I already planned to take the rapid home test my daughter just gave me this morning. I remember when you first had it and mucinex was your go to and it became mine on my breakthrough second go with this virus. I am happy that you have beautiful little Poe to keep you company and truly hope for your quick recovery.Be well soon🙏💜
Most importantly, feel better SOON, Amee. You have been through more than most, and you have earned a respite (and then some). We readers/consumers of your writings will be here and on Twitter, so take whatever time you need to get yourself back to snuff. Feel better soon. Everyday I hear about more friends with breakthrough cases. Most have mild to no symptoms. At the present rate we should hit herd immunity before Spring, that is the good news.
People I love are getting COVID with this new wave, despite being vaxxed and boosted - that includes you, Amee. Is it weird to count a Twitter friend among those I love? Nope. I was with Amee virtually through her first bout in March 2020 and anyone I check in on DAILY is included in those I love. Feel better, sister.
