Thank you for this and thank you for asking for our comments. I've just spent 20 minutes on social media and I completely agree with what I'm seeing there. Anyone whose name is in Epstein files has reason to want to silence Charlie Kirk.

There were hand signals, there is motive, there is massive blame of the Left without justification today all over media. Putting Left into defense mode. Left need to get on the offensive NOW. BLOW THIS WIDE OPEN.

We all knew this would happen, right? MAGA thought they had their martyrs in Madison Cawthorn, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Ashli Babbitt, etc., but those folks proved to be so obtuse as to repel even the most “ultra” of the MAGA cult. Charlie Kirk was the perfect victim - he looked squeaky clean, and his shenanigans were mostly rated PG.

But now we have to “never forget” Charlie or else we’re the evil ones. Even MSNBC hosts and commentators were framing Kirk’s murder as a nation tragedy, a great loss, etc. I’m going to say this as carefully and as honestly as I can: I do not and will grieve his loss. I am horrified that someone likely took his life for political or idealogical reasons - to me, it means we’ve hit rock bottom as a nation. My heart breaks for the grief that I am certain his family is feeling. That, too, is senseless and cruel and horrific. But I will not feel a loss for him. Charlie was OK with folks - including me, my wife, and our child - dying senselessly so that others might own weapons that will lead to even more senseless deaths. That rationale is diabolical. Charlie was OK with denying rights to women, LGBTQ+ citizens, and… let’s face it: he was happy to deny Constitutionally guaranteed rights to anyone that didn’t fit his Christian nationalist mold.

So, no, I don’t feel guilty about him being dead. And I think more folks should stand up and admit that they won’t miss him, either.

My first thought was about how tragic it was to end a life, any life, especially one that was seeking to promote dialog rather than violence.

And my second one was "what does DT get out of this...how does he benefit". That's not to say he intentionally had anything to do with making it happen, but we all know how he turns every noteworthy incident into political gain for himself. So what does he get out of this?

First he gets people talking about something other than his connection to the Epstein mud pit. Then he gets to paint Democrats at large as responsible for this morally bankrupt action and use it as an excuse to vilify, punish and get political retribution, while completely ignoring the many prominent Democrats who have lost their lives recently through political violence from Republicans. His words and behavior ratchet up the level of violence another notch, and he uses the situation to justify the escalation.

The true tragedy of the recent events is that a man has lost his life, a woman has lost her husband, children have lost their father, and family and friends have lost the connection and companionship of a treasured person, and others are using it for personal and political gain.

I'm torn. On the one hand, I condemn someone who presumes to end another's life. On the other hand, I see Kirk as someone who would accept my death and the death of others if he stood in the way of the realization of his world order. And in the end, I ask myself what would have happened if Georg Elser had succeeded.
