Gun Violence This Week

There were three separate mass shooting incidents in the United States this past week, where four people were killed and 10 were injured.

• Nearly 40% of the federal contracts that the Trump administration claims to have canceled as part of its signature cost-cutting program won’t save the government any money, the administration’s own data shows.

• Elon Musk and his “cost-cutting” DOGE team have been on a mission to trim government costs, but Musk and his businesses have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies and tax credits, often at critical moments.
