Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump attempted to spread false claims this week that an image of thousands of people waiting at Detroit’s airport as Democrat Kamala Harris arrived for a campaign rally was fabricated with the help of artificial intelligence. Reporters, photographers and video journalists representing The Associated Press documented the crowd size, and denied the photo in question was manipulated.
Ukraine’s top military commander confirmed this week that his forces now control 1,000 square kilometers (386 square miles) of Russia’s neighboring Kursk region. This is the first time a Ukrainian military official has publicly commented on the gains.
