I’m so glad you’re getting through this & thank you for sharing your experience. I think about you daily & consider you a “friend” that I worry about although we’ve never spoken directly. I’m sending you healing hugs & I hope the concern we are all feeling toward you in this shared experience is helping. Stay strong ❤️

Because this sounds so similar to what nearly killed me last May, I can agree with your assessment to do nothing, even if you feel better. Wait. Just wait. I believe I was out of bed at best for 2 hours at a time for weeks. Funny story - my husband cut off one of his fingers while I was in week 3, and I had to drive him to the ER; driving while delirious. Hillarious.

Need a binge-list? I’m a helper. Start with The Expanse on Prime. Unless you hate SciFi, then you should try Unbelievable on Netflix, and The Morning Show on Apple+. 😊

Being sick while living alone is the pits. You have to be extra careful. And that is all I will add to this very helpful description you have provided. I feel that, because of you, if this happens to me, I am much better prepared! So there's that. I had surgery this time last year and, being an Old, it took me weeks to get back to 100%, so I'm aware of how long that kind of recovery takes. Have your groceries delivered if you can. Stay home. Read if you can. Nap. Watch TV sideways. Just get better (slowly)! And thank you for sharing your experience. Your work is so appreciated! Take good care. oxox

I hope you continue to improve. These symptoms are scary when you are experiencing them isolation and debating about if/when you should go to the hospital.

As I posted earlier, I was tested on 3/19 and had all of the symptoms, including the less frequent ones. My fever would come and go and the shortness of breath and tightness in my chest and ribs was really scary. After waiting almost two weeks for my results, I received a call saying it was negative. I asked the nurse to please tell me what I did have- what other illness presents all of these symptoms? She did not have an answer and suggested that if there are future blood tests to check for antibodies, I should consider that.

In a weird way, negative test results did not provide me with comfort. I was thinking that after all this, I could feel some level of confidence that I cannot make anyone sick (or cause their death) and I would have some level of immunity. And, as I asked the nurse, “what did I have, then?” I’m scheduling a doctors appointment because I have more questions and concerns!

I pray for everyone’s safety & health and hope that we get through this as best we can.

Amee I can't give you more accolades but I have to let you know that you are so right. Asthmatic women are aware of what is scaring us all and we can be vigilant but we are lucky too. In this situation there has to be awareness that the doctors are not going to be there. Your story is important to all who might have been ill. As I read the story I prayed it worked out and I know there is a chance that it might not. I have been in shock for three weeks. I have two kids and my loving husband who knows that my asthma is serious no matter how I down play it. God bless you for the strength to document this and to get you better soon.

I'm following you and feel sure you'll beat this now. Just a word of caution about Tylenol and it's tendency to cause liver damage, as per my MD about migraines.

Take care to support your liver while using Tylenol.

Naturopath insists steamed beets in their skins and later peeled is the food for our liver. I make beet borscht for comfort food.
