We’re sending all our healing energy to you Amee! Hang in there. We’re with you all the way. Try to get some Gatorade to replace your electrolytes.

P.S. Did anyone convince @mamasreallyrule not to drive to DC?

I am glad you are doing better, I know you're not 100%, but you will be. You were aware enough to attack this, immediately. I am not ashamed to say, I am scared sh*tless, I am high risk. We went to town, yesterday, it was so damn crowded (what's wrong with people) that we came home. We will have to venture out eventually.

Stay strong, we really are all in this together.❤

None of this is what "should" be happening!!! Saving tests for health care workers, those already hospitalized, and people in nursing facilities means that our public health system has given up on containment or even developing a basic understanding of how the virus is moving through our population. This means that we won't actually know when it's safe to "be normal" again, whether to go back to work or send our kids to school. Honestly, I wouldn't mind so much if there were just an adult in government saying, "hey everybody, we weren't adequately prepared and we're sorry. We're going to have to do the best we can, which will be inadequate, until we have more supplies and health care workers." Instead they being judgey with sick people who want testing, telling them that the health care worker doing the test is using PPE that will then be unavailable for a worker on the front lines in the hospital, so don't be so selfish by demanding a diagnosis. We've been lied to and abandoned.

Sounds like you’ve got this licked. Hmm. Currently licking it is probably closer to the truth. Get well, please.

Here’s my latest update- I became ill on 3/13 and had all of the symptoms for COVID-19. I called the COVID hotline here and was advised to go for testing. I was tested on 3/19. I tested negative for Influenza A & B and my specimen was sent for further testing which was supposed to take 3-5 days. My symptoms remain and on Tuesday, I had a low grade fever return. I called the hotline again & was referred to my PCP. I called them and they did a telehealth call, during which time they prescribed an antibiotic (which will not help a virus). I emailed the hospital system voicing my anxiety in waiting for results and concern that I cannot go for additional medical care because I don’t have results. The response I received this morning is that I may need to wait 10 days or more to receive that information. What the hell?!

Oh, honey, I want to mail you my chicken soup. This will be a bad week. We’re prepared and my family is hunkered down but we’re also intelligent people who realize this is going to last for months, not weeks.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine and it also sounds like we are treating it similarly (but C and zinc, etc). I finally got a test when I was admitted to the ER for breathing issues. It came back negative but I was told to continue quarantine & treatment as if it were positive. Turns out the tests are wildly inaccurate when it comes to negative results. There is a lower limit for detection that many infections don’t meet and even the test kit instructions say that a negative result doesn’t rule out having the virus. Explains why they are limiting testing to the sickest.

I have had the same symptoms as you. I got tested for influenza a and Covid19. Both came out negative today. I don't know what it is. Maybe some form of pneumonia that wants to act like Covid19. I have not had much of a cough. Just a bit in the morning. But not a dry cough. I had a fever for a while but now normal. My left lung hurts sometimes and I feel like I have a lot of mucus coming up. I feel like taking a lot of big deep breaths often too.

I run a steam pot on the stove all day. Using some essential oils of camphor, eucalyptus, tea tree oil. I put a drop of peppermint oil in my cpap at night. Musinex and cold medicine for sneezing. I hope you feel better soon.

Under a great deal of physical & emotional stress and still finding the strength to research & write is genuinely commendable and undoubtedly worthy of your SHERO calling. But more importantly, I hope that you do make the turn to better health quickly. Rest when you can, as often as you can, to help improve your condition—sending you tons of healing love.

Take care Amee - been thinking about you this week. Thank you for keeping us informed and I am as angry as you. This WH Administration is just a sh*tshow. The incompetence is staggering and the inaction is beyond belief. Keep resting and regaining your strength <3

Get yourself some Elderberry tea to add to your collection, D3, (Amazon has Kirkland [Costco] 2,000 iu), females should be on a minimum of 4K per day. Take it with K2 if you’re not eating a ton of green veggies. Also Elderberry tablets (I’ve got one with C & zinc) it’s a huge immune booster. As is turmeric, astaxanthin, quercetin, and bromelain. You’ve got this momma!!!
