Hello all! I had a great discussion with my friend and fellow attorney Dave (also known as @davematt88 on Twitter) about our recent SHERO Banned Book Selection: MAUS I and MAUS II, by Art Spiegelman. We were having such a rich discussion about this book, that we decided to continue the conversation and make the SHERO podcast on Callin into two parts. You can listen to them here:
MAUS Banned Book Discussion Part I
MAUS Banned Book Discussion Part II
The Callin app is now available for iPhone and Android users and you can download Callin here to get started. I do a weekly podcast on Wednesdays at Callin, where you can call in live to speak with me, join the discussion, and ask questions about the topic at hand, so be sure to tune in! You can also post any of your observations about MAUS in the comments of this post for others to read.
This format seemed to work really well, so I anticipate continuing this format for our banned book discussions. I will also. be announcing our next book selection in the next few days. If you have any suggestions or requests, please let me know in the comments of this post. You can participate in the discussions as much as you like, but the most important thing is to read the books — you won’t regret it, I promise!

Paid subscriptions and one-time tributes embedded in each article allow me to keep publishing critical and informative work that is sometimes made available to the public — thank you. If you like this piece and want to support independent journalism further, you can forward this article to others, get a paid subscription or gift subscription, or donate once, as much as you like today.
Actually a fun read aside from the parallel truth…
