• Michael Cohen, the former “fixer” and attorney for Donald Trump, is expected to testify before a Manhattan grand jury next week, a sign that prosecutors are poised to indict the former president for his role in paying “hush money” to porn star Stormy Daniels.

  Trump: Nobody disobeys my orders. Michael Cohen to Congress: He doesn't give orders. He speaks in a code. And I understand the code, because I've been around him for a decade. In trying to sound like the bad-ass boss man, Trump just implicated himself further.

• US District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, the conservative Texas judge who could override government approval of a key abortion drug, has scheduled the first hearing in the case for next Wednesday, but has taken the unusual step of keeping the hearing from being publicly posted as it would normally be on the court docket.

• Since taking over Twitter, Elon Musk has tried desperately to cut costs and boost the company's revenue, and as part of his bid to boost income, Musk tried to get Twitter's staff to buy its office plants.
