With the COVID-era Employee Retention Tax Credit program awash in fraud, Congress is now taking aim at winding it down and expanding the child tax credit.
Republican Representative from Colorado, Lauren Boebert‘s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, has been charged with assault and other counts in connection with two domestic altercations, including an argument with the congresswoman in a restaurant that spiraled out of control, and a fight with the former couple’s son.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended his Republican presidential campaign last Sunday, ending his 2024 White House bid just before the New Hampshire primary, while endorsing his bitter rival Donald Trump.
On Monday, the United States Supreme Court determined that federal immigration agents were able to follow an order from President Biden to remove the razor wire deterrent that Texas state officials had set up along some sections of the US border with Mexico. Despite this latest finding, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has not only refused to remove any of the initial razor wire, he has added more wire.
Plaintiffs filed an emergency appeal before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on Tuesday, on behalf of individual Massachusetts voters challenging Donald Trump’s eligibility to appear on the state’s presidential primary and general election ballot.
