The coming week will be a very special one, as we have reason to believe that Donald Trump will be arrested in New York City on Tuesday. Trump made a statement about his pending indictment on his Truth Social media site, where he called for his supporters to "take our nation back" in a throwback to his incitement of the January 6 insurrection. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg issued an email to his staff over the weekend that did not deny an arrest was coming, and stated: “we do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York.”

• Local, state and federal law enforcement and security agencies are preparing for the possibility that former President Donald Trump will be indicted in New York City as early as next week, according to five senior officials familiar with the preparations.

• Genetic material collected at a Chinese market near where the first human cases of COVID-19 were identified show raccoon dog DNA co-mingled with the virus, suggesting the pandemic may have originated from animals, not a lab, international experts say.
