What Happened Was...
A lightning fast comprehensive recap of the week's biggest events for March 13th - 19th, 2023
Below is a catch-up of the significant events of this past week. You can check in with a minimal time commitment, read about the big stuff, and stay in the know before we’re on to the next. If you want more information on the past week's events, you might want to scroll through my Twitter feed for more detail on other topics I don’t mention below.
The coming week will be a very special one, as we have reason to believe that Donald Trump will be arrested in New York City on Tuesday. Trump made a statement about his pending indictment on his Truth Social media site, where he called for his supporters to "take our nation back" in a throwback to his incitement of the January 6 insurrection. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg issued an email to his staff over the weekend that did not deny an arrest was coming, and stated: “we do not tolerate attempts to intimidate our office or threaten the rule of law in New York.”
For live updates, be sure to follow my Twitter feed here, where I will be on Donald J. Trump Arrest Watch leading up to Tuesday. I would also like to remind everyone that a crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with karma and if you need a bolder flavor, a dry Cab Sav really helps to bring out the salt in those Trumpian Tears.
Gun Violence This Week

Here at SHERO, we document all mass shooting incidents for the week every Sunday, so please take a moment to review them and remember to keep up the fight for sensible gun reform.

Local, state and federal law enforcement and security agencies are preparing for the possibility that former President Donald Trump will be indicted in New York City as early as next week, according to five senior officials familiar with the preparations.
Genetic material collected at a Chinese market near where the first human cases of COVID-19 were identified show raccoon dog DNA co-mingled with the virus, suggesting the pandemic may have originated from animals, not a lab, international experts say.
