What People Are Saying About Shero (Including my own Shero, Kathy Griffin)
(artwork via Catherine Brown)
Since it’s Friday and we are all worn out by the Racist in Chief, I decided lighter, quick post was the way to go to help you start your weekend off right. In case you missed it, here’s another way to kick things off-the cocktail I created in honor of Jerry Falwell Jr. called “The Pool Boy.”
I also wanted to let you know that I will be doing my “What Had Happened Was” Sunday recap every week now, so if you missed anything during the week, you can get the CliffsNotes for everything heading into Monday so that you don’t look like a total asshat at the water cooler.
Here are just some fun tweets people have sent me about reading Shero, if I missed you don’t blame me, blame the new Twitter layout that I am convinced has been sent by aliens to destroy us all after Trump didn’t immediately work. And yes, I AM going to put my exchange with Ms. Kathy Griffin about my JFK piece yesterday at the forefront, because who wouldn't?
I try to read everything you guys say to me regarding my work to keep evolving Shero, so if I’ve missed you on Twitter or left you out, I apologize and I appreciate everyone’s support!
And last but far from least, a special thanks to the best editor a girl could hope for and my number one fan…my mom.
Thanks again to everyone-I have received a lot of emails about how much you liked the piece on John Kennedy Jr. He was important to a lot of us. They are so touching and I am still reading them all. I’ve tried to respond to as many as I could. Thanks for taking the time to tell me how you feel and for supporting my work here at Shero, it really helps to fuel me moving forward and I appreciate you all. Have a great weekend, see you Sunday! 💋
