Before we get started, I’d like to immediately acknowledge that I am not terribly versed in the Marvel genre and have no clue about the source comic book material. The following observations are based on my more detailed knowledge of politics and law and my casual experience with the Marvel Universe, specifically the major blockbuster movies that everyone sees and understands. I know how fanatical comic fans can be, so don’t come for me on the comic front, it’s just a generic reference. I could have used John Hughes movies or the Hobbit or something-action and excitement are the point and politics will be infused with it. Well, as much as it can be. So without further delay, here are the top five reason why an impeachment trial of Donald Trump in the Senate will be bigger than a summer blockbuster.
OMG! I just started my Disney+ subscription and now have access to a lot of Marvel films I have never seen. I watched Captain Marvel last night because "woman hero" and loved it--although the action stuff happens too fast for my old eyes, I still love some CGI. So this article of yours really tickles my funny bone, while reminding me that we are in the fight for our lives and it really is a time for Action Heroes. Nancy Pelosi is a Jedi Master (uh oh mixing my universes) and she will prevail, I believe, by making us wait for the juicy narrative twist that is coming. I have trust in all of the Blue Players. And I'm all over the place today because I watched Trump (what role is he playing again?) being an Adderalled, unglued, addlepated buffoon yesterday and NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT. I look forward to this summer blockbuster. Buying my tickets NOW!
