How anybody can defend tRump after this is beyond crazy. If this is what we know can you imagine what we don't?!?

Excellent article, Amee!

I have no doubt that what the Ambassador said is completely true. I also have no doubt that the Senate Republicans won't care. They could be confronted with video footage of the Orange Asscactus demanding the quid pro quo and it still wouldn't matter to them. In fact, as the facts continue to emerge, it wouldn't shock me at all if he reverses course and admits that he did it, along with saying "Who cares, it wasn't wrong". That too wouldn't matter to the Senate Republicans.

trump seems to be digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole, so I'm hoping as things pile on, more Republicans will jump ship.

It might not matter to Senate Republicans, but it does matter to the law. To allow the "Orange Asscactus," as you call him, to flaunt the law yet again would be to admit that they, too, would flaunt the law. *Some* of their constituents care about stuff like that - we'll see who ends up having a hard time with re-election when all is said and done.

I really hope that both of you are right and that I am wrong. However, #MoscowMitch and his cronies have given me every reason to be skeptical of their integrity.

Oh, I quite agree regarding the Republicans' integrity! They have none left. Period. The last Republican still serving in Congress that had even a shred of integrity was Amash and I'm not a big fan of his policy positions. Still the man called it like he saw it and, as a result, left the party.

No, they have no integrity, but some (maybe even a majority) of their voters do, and that is what I'm pinning my hopes on. It'll be close, I may be wrong, but I have to keep hoping that, somehow, the good will overcome the bad as it did in a LOT of places in 2018.
