The first hearing for the newly implemented select committee to investigate what really happened during the attack on Jan. 6 will take place this morning and the committee will kick off the process with four law enforcement officers, who spent all day defending the Capitol from the violent mob.
The terrifying thing is that if you watch Fox, OANN or Newsmax (or listen to any right-wing talk show/media outlet), you will near nothing of what these officers are saying. In fact, if anything, you will only hear (as the despicable Tucker Carlson just did) attacks on them, or accusations that the FBI (!!) was behind the insurrection.
Somewhere, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping are laughing their heads off at us right now.
As much as I know I would despise her under many other situations, Lynne Cheney today really rose above and beyond what it means to be a patriot and a good American politician. Her words were solid and heart-felt. I say this a lot about AOC, but Cheney is the future of her party...if it has one.

I was riveted to the hearing this morning.
