Due to popular demand, here is the playlist on Spotify and iTunes.
After a surprisingly fun thread on Twitter this weekend where I asked people what videos they remember loving so much that they would watch MTV for hours waiting for it, I got some amazing responses. Cue the little girl rabbit hole that took me back to better times, dare I say it-the good ole days. So I thought it would be fun to do a playlist of some of the best videos from the 80’s that people still remember now.
Disclaimers:
This is a list of the best videos, not songs. I was a little mod girl, so if this was the best 80’s songs it would much more focused on things like like Pop Will Eat Itself, Ultravox, Erasure, Depeche Mode, O.M.D., The Cure, New Order, Bananarama, Souixe and the Banshees and on and on.
I didn’t add Prince because you should just watch Purple Rain.
I understand Thriller is considered the best of all time and Billie Jean is great too, but for obvious reasons, I’m not adding them.
Feel free to share your own in the comments if I missed your fave. Get out your side shoulder sweatshirt and Madonna lace headbands and let’s have some fun. Without further ado, grab yourself a watermelon Jolly Rancher and here is “For Like, Ever” the ultimate 80’s video playlist:

I'm a huge fan of this video list! "Love is a Battlefield" was the best! I was a big U2 fan and loved them so much. My Dad took me to the MTV Music Awards in 85. It was the highlight of my teenage years. Bob Henley's "Boys of Summer" was the top song on my playlist back then.
