Wait, do you mean to suggest that all of the railing against law enforcement by the "back the blue" crowd, including/especially those in the House (looking at YOU, MTG, Boebert, Gosar, Biggs, etc.) and Senate (looking at YOU, Cruz, Rubio and Blackburn, etc.), Fox News/OANN/Newsmax, etc., not to mention TFG and his spawn, might have real world consequences?????

I'm shocked. SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!!

The most dispiriting part of this is that even though the right, and it's a misnomer to even call it the 'far-right' any longer, has to offer is hatred and violence, the races this year and 2024 will be tight. America is in free-fall.

The utter ridiculousness from the Trump cult - its irrationality, hypocrisy, and self-contradictory beliefs - is never going to subside, even if Trump ended up in hospice, not that I am suggesting that he become terminally ill. It's now self-sustaining, and does not need Trump at all to continue destroying the social and political structures of the country. There will be "explanations" (baseless conspiracy dreams) for everything anti-Trump or anti-Republican. Trump has created a whirlpool for logic and reason and reality and it has only grown in the past five years.

They don't care--they're perfectly fine if people die because of the mendacious propaganda that they are spewing.

Yes, we will. I'm committed to the prospect.

1. I would not be shocked to learn that Trump held on to the documents just to cause this kind of scenario.

2. Generally the media seems to be falling for the same old game Trump plays to get his view presented as at least equally plausible as reality, and generally presented without opposing statements of fact.

3. We're probably F'd again.

Amee your the lawyer here. Is the DOJ able to operate on a threat from the standpoint of informing these clowns that the government knows who they are and won’t hesitate to act?

Or is that a violation of their rights?

The DoJ has to operate within the law and in every action they take against Trump and his supporters, they have to be especially careful. Reminder that the First Amendment is not absolute and taking action against citizens who break the law is much easier than taking action against a man who is shielded by once being president.

That being the case I think swift and decisive action against these jackasses would act as a deterrent to stupidity and bluster. Just as it has when the tough guy J6R’s resort to tears in the courtroom when the final gavel comes down. The government has to show it has it’s own version of “bring it.”
