Four GOP Super PACs, led by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, have been funding the GA run-off election that determines control of the Senate, with $140 million in ad buys, to bypass FEC law.
What happens in the next 4 years is riding on the Georgia election. We will, either, start the healing or the GOP is going to run salt in the country's wounds! These PACs and super PACs have got to be stopped. Well, let's be honest, an obscene amount of money is spent on elections! There really needs to be changes made. But, probably not in my lifetime!
Happy New Year Amee!!! Hoping 2021 is better for all!
how TF is this legal, Aimee? from OpenSecrets.org: "Shortly after, One Nation stopped spending on TV ads once the FEC’s disclosure window kicked in, it passed $27.5 million to Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Moscow Mitch McConnell that shares staff and offices with the dark money group." (added the "moscow" even though implied)
This starts, I believe, with overturning Citizens United, which allowed these dark-money Super PACs to flourish and subvert our electoral system.
The whole situation is just so disheartening.
Happy New Year, Amee. May 2021 be a better year for us all.
Happy New Year

In the end with clear eyes both parties buy the election one way or another .
