Seeing my city pouring into the streets to mourn George Floyd has been astounding in its diversity and community. I watched the video with my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes, but this is NOT a rare occurrence in Minneapolis and I’m furious about it. Finally, the mayor has pledged to examine 10 years of racial cases of injustice. We have to get rid of the white supremacist union leader Bob Kroll for a start!

Why, at all, should these cops who MURDERED George Floyd, be given a chance to Bail Out!?!?"

They NEVER gave George that chance!

Trump said an awful thing at his presser today, something about George being happy that the job market was improving. He makes me so sick with his awful pandering and sly digs--make no mistake, he does it all on purpose because HE CAN and he likes the response he gets when he does it. It's a fool's game, though. Trump is losing daily: losing his support, losing the numbers race, losing his base, losing his grip. The Mayor of DC is running circles around him (she is not perfect, but I love what she's doing right now) and his attack dogs are heading for the shadows. So George MIGHT be resting easier today, knowing that justice is on the horizon--not a perfect justice, but a road to it. We must all stay on that road this time. Thanks for all you do, Amee. Hope you continue to feel better.

The protests have been a long time coming and it is my sincere hope the nation does not allow itself to be distracted by the next atrocity committed by Trump and that the protests not only continue but grow in their numbers and intensity.
