I am more stressed now, in this final count down, than ever in the past 5yrs. If I have learned anything it is, nothing is what it seems. No, I am not throwing in the towel. I have also never prayed as hard as I have been. I have nothing left emotionally, mentally, I am totally exhausted. On Nov 3, we will all be virtually holding hands and waiting.

I too have hope, but also a great deal of nervousness. I hope this is a major jolt to people and this is NOT a one time thing. I hope some sanity can be restored without having a shooting civil war. I fear the great enthusiasm will get somewhat crushed when people realize COVID is still there, there isn't some instant fix, and we really are going to have to make some lifestyle changes to get it under control. We should have been doing it since January, but....

Any ways, I have hope but don't underestimate the task in front of us.

I am desperately looking forward to being able to go more than 12 hours without wondering what fresh hell our President has visited upon us. I am guardedly hopeful, grateful beyond measure to hear Obama on the stump again, and somewhat wistful. I wish I could take part in what needs to be done these last few days, but I'm still shepherding my husband through his recovery from heart surgery and his return to work. I'm hoping against hope that I can once again invest more time in my family and our future than in the politicians that we need to help us get to that future.
