Merry Christmas!

And, as a Jew, I'm throwing in Adam Sandler's "Hanukkah Song"!

This is a great list! Some I've never heard and look forward to hearing. I would like to add that Jackie Wilson's "White Christmas" is spectacular. After 20 years of listening to it, it still gives me chill bumps.

I love Christmas playlists. Most of my friends think I’m nuts but my daughters (one is a professional musician) are on board with me so that’s all that counts. I can add a few favorites from my list: Three from the album Harry for the Holidays by Harry Connick Jr. — Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and Silent Night, the latter with the most beautiful trumpet solo by Leroy Jones. I would also add My Favorite Things by John Coltrane, Fairytale of New York by The Pogues, and my second entry of Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Bruce Springsteen. I also like White Christmas by Tony Bennett (featuring Dexter Gordon on sax), and finally (yes, I’ll stop for now), Someday at Christmas by Stevie Wonder, which is the song we play first every year when we decorate the house after Thanksgiving. Whew! Thank you for including your list.

You can't make a tongue-partly-in-cheek without "Fairytale of New York", by the Pogues and the late Kirstie McColl.

When a song begins "It was Christmas Eve, in the drunk tank..." you cannot ignore it!
