While many expected Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to announce a presidential bid yesterday, he limited his actions to taking control over Disney World and announcing his new book.
There is no doubt that DeSantis is a scumbag, a liar, and an opportunist. Taking him on should be an easy task for a Democrat willing to bare-knuckle it; DeSantis defines freedom as his freedom to do what he wants. The guy sells well in FL but can he cut it on the national stage where people are tired of the grievance and hate politics of Trump? I would say no but then I said my fellow citizens would never elect a failed businessman from "elite" Manhattan who has never worked a day or earned anything in his life. So I don't put much trust in the American electorate. By 2024 we should be in a recession and I can see that reason alone throwing this hate-filled fascist into the White House, not so much an embrace of his politics but a repudiation of the "Biden economy." Again, these Republicans are cartoonish evil villains, they should be easy to beat up on, but Democrats and their thirst for losing elections and unwillingness to play the game make it anybody's guess what happens. We're in for a ride that probably won't end well.
Excellent analysis of DeSantis and his attempts to turn Florida and the rest of America 🇺🇸 into his Sunshine 🌞 Reich, where he makes all the rules, same as Mussolini and Hitler did once their minority radical parties were able to seize power and leadership!! Straight out of the Fascism playbook to make everyone else not in power kowtow to his edicts.

There are 417,209 more registered Republicans than Democrats, with over 4 million non affiliated voters. (5.8 mil/4.8mil). Getting out the vote will be crucial this next election.
Disney is gonna Disney and raise prices to cover their costs. Just maybe the people in the affected counties will notice the increases in their water, sewage, and trash bills.
