There is no "good guy" in the fight between the Evil Turtle and the Orange Asscactus. It's like Al Qaeda fighting with ISIS. You want them to both lose.

I live in Kentucky. Not by choice, but circumstances related to employment that forced me to leave behind living in NYC for 20 years. The moment I set foot in this state, I felt as if I was stepping back in time. And not in a fun Disneyland/Main Street, USA sort of way with horse drawn carriages, barbershop quartets, & cotton candy. Just endless regression, willful ignorance & looking the other way at built-in, good-old-boy style corruption.

Somehow, despite having an approval rating south of 20% in his own state, McConnell has held on to power for nearly 4 decades. It's unbelievable. No matter the occupant of the White House, he continues to emerge, like a cockroach from beneath a fridge after nuclear winter.

He will survive Trumpism, too. So I'm hoping for his death. Perhaps I should feel bad for saying that, but while he lives & holds on to power in the Senate, he continues to endanger America's future. And I would really like to take my dog to pee on his grave someday before I get out of this state & back to civilization.

Neither TFG nor McConnell will dictate what will happen in 2024. The GQP donor class is, and has always been, in charge. Mercer, Adelson, Koch, DeVos and other wealthy, right wing donors will call the tune. If a GQP wanna be isn't sufficiently anti-tax, anti-choice, or anti-equality, they will face a primary. No one wants to risk that and therefore, they will all bow to their real masters - their donors.
