The inhumanity of this man knows no bounds. Insulate the rich, to hell with the peasants and their anguished cries for relief. And yet, his state keeps electing him. Thanks for spelling this out so thoroughly.

I can tell you of 2 extremely different companies and their COVID dealings. My daughter is a cashier at 2 different stores. The first one now has 8 cases. Their idea of sanitizing: 2 people come in, in street clothes, and wipe down door handles. I kid you not! Masks are not enforced, if a customer refuses the employees are instructed not to engage. Non of the check outs are being sanitized, after use, but such a precaution is stated on a HUGE sign upon entering.

Second store, masks are enforced, even handed out if you don't have one. Sanitizing is a constant. An employee came in to say she would not be working because she had COVID. (Could not believe someone did that) The store manager immediately went to the front, barring people from coming in. Two other employees ushered customers to check out, a sanitizing CREW came in and the store was closed 24hrs to allow sanitizing to take full effect. So McConnell will protect store #1, from liabilities, when in fact they are reckless and endangering all. He is evil scum! I still say, the fact he was re-elected needs to be investigated.

I've always thought that Mitch McConnell was an evil little turtle, and this just proves it. That he won again in November was just so, so disappointing.

State and local funding is so important because many state and local governments have balanced budget amendments that prohibit deficit spending. Their only choice in emergencies is to cut essential programs (which means laying off workers) or going without. A bill without state and local government relief will directly cause thousands of layoffs.

great article. back in '90-'92, tx W/C was chgd to something really similar to this. no accountability for employers. hubby was a heavy equip. op. the pc. he was ordered to use had a broken seat(no bounce, like it was supposed to have). while driving, he hit a hole, threw him 2' up&down. w/o the bounce, it caused severe injury to his back. 8 surgeries. couldn't get 1 penny, even tho they knew the seat was broke. this is kind of crap mitchie wants. posting this, just as an ex. 2 yrs later, they chgd the law back, but since he was hurt in that period, he didn't matter.
