As the Midterm Election approaches, here are some tips for breaking down the results and when you can reasonably expect to know who will win key states.
We have decided to turn off all electronics tomorrow at 4 PM, have a nice dinner, read our latest books, drink a delicious bottle of red and go to sleep. We're warned our adult kids not to call us during this time (our daughter calls asking me multiple times during election evening to reassure her that everything will be OK - kills me to only say "I hope so, Lisa"). And then we will wake up on Wednesday and decide when to reconnect. Three elections in a row involving Trump et al are just too much for our old bodies to handle.
I agree with you Marsha. My blood pressure goes up every time I hear TFGs name. And yet, the news media continue to show his face, run video of his cult meetings, just to annoy me to no end. I need a trump break. If they announce his arrest then, I will look for a report from Amee.
I have been feeling so much anxiety over this election. Anxiety that has carried from previous elections involving Trump. I'm in a swing state. One that previously elected Barack Obama twice, but has been influenced by the misinformation, fear mongering, and flat out lies of Trump and his allies, including our Governor and many state legislators. In fact, Trump was in our state last week stumping for the governor's reelection. I turned off the news immediately when I saw this. I've also decided to turn off all electronics tomorrow and focus on other things. I cannot handle the stress.
A voice of reason on an election that is anything but reasonable. I will not watch this election since most of the media have already decided that the republilikkkins have won and we are screwed. Of course, for them it is great fodder for the news hour following real election results.
I will look for your SHERO post on Wednesday morning, Amee. Thanks for being you.
Of all the races, and they were all important, but the one I am most happy for is John Fetterman. Great to see the people of Pennsylvania haven’t lost their minds to trumpism! A loss for a trump endorsed candidate is a win for America.

Good luck to us all.
Not a bad idea!

I'm counting on women to make sure that this country doesn't get dragged back to the 60s.
The 1860s, that is.
We are a Democratic Republic , we have done everything possible to make sure it stays that way. We have to
Hope and vote .
