The Republicans "played the long game" with the courts long before Democrats recognized the importance of getting like-minded judges appointed. We are now seeing the consequences of that (Democratic) inaction.
In a further harbinger of what is is to come and as reported by CNN today, the town of Lebanon (Ohio) just outright criminalized abortion within the city limits by a UNANIMOUS vote of its city council. I suspect that we will see such laws pass in many other "red cities" across the country.
There is The Rule of Law and there is Rule *by* Law.
What we are seeing happen to women's rights in Texas and else here is just a small taste of what Americans will experience if the Bannon Republicans succeed in overthrowing our government.
