I had to learn "Truth Hurts" to play it with my wedding band. I had no expectations (I'm a self-admitted music snob) but when I heard that opening lyric I had to stop and absorb its depth, truth and poetry with my full brain. If that one opening line was all Lizzo ever did, her place in the culture would be secure.
I think there's a typo in the subtitle of the article- had to read it a few times and I think I know what it's trying to say, but just a heads-up I wanted to offer.
