I am back home in California after a couple of weeks of walking along the Atlantic Ocean every morning for the last two weeks in Massachusetts. You're going to love it!
I sincerely hope you enjoy the ocean and that it is a wonderful and memorable experience for you. As a Midwest girl, I remember my first and only trip to see the Atlantic Ocean. I was only three years old, but I remember the sand was so hot that my father had to carry me into the ocean, and when we finally got there, we were knocked over by a wave. Apparently I didn't like the taste of the salty water, because I reportedly said "Yuck! It tastes like pepper!" (I was a confused little girl who mixed up my spices. I'm better with my spices now, but I'm still often confused - thank goodness for your posts!)

Wait... how long have you lived in DC and you're just NOW getting to the ocean?? Wow. Still, have a TERRIFIC time and do not forget the sunscreen. Blondes gotta be careful of that stuff! My b-day is Friday, but I will probably be 'celebrating' all weekend, knowing me. My MIL spoiled the heck outta me and helped me cultivate the 'celebrate all week' frame of mind.

I have swam in many Oceans in my Travels but tge Atlantic will always be home. I hope you get to see the stunning beauty, the honky tonk, walk in water so cold or so mild you feel you are being embraced. Where ever you go, eat the wonderful seafood , enjoy the sunsets, and reflect no Matter how much you have a accomplished a Birthday gives you time to reflect every year on the next Step. Enjoy Amee
