Good luck. I feel your pain. I’ve been banned from Twitter after a concentrated attack by cyber stalkers who’ve been relentlessly stalking someone I followed. They mass reported me (and I was a nobody with only 4K followers...) I guess for using profanity against scumbags in the former guy’s administration as well as him and his family. They have been working hard to get his followers banned. Haven’t been able to post since September, though I can still see posts.

First of all Amee I have not seen the tweet so I speak from ignorance. You have Shero which you are using and that is a great outlet. You are a gifted writer, but more a gifted observer and reporter of people and their actions. That said I believe you should write an Op- Ed about social platforms. It took four years for Twitter to shut down Trump and all his misleading information and out and out lies. You are the last person I would expect to be in Twitmo .I don’t even know the rules and during the campaign I felt sure I had gone to far. It’s your livelihood in several ways. I 'inherited' a fanfiction site and, through running it the last 9 years, I've learned that disclaimers are your friends. I don't know that it would have helped in your circumstances, but I try to confirm that I'm passing along open-source stuff. With GIFs and memes, it's almost impossible, though. :/
Agreed. And we don't allow video on our site, so we've escaped that bugaboo. It's a 'brave new world' out there & the more forms of media we come up with, the more ways we have to run afoul of property rights.

Yes, the copyright owner has to report you with a copyright claim. It was a video with music playing in the background that had been looped in over the video. It was not my original video, but the video is still up in places on Twitter.
Fuck Jack Dorsey and his war against strong women. I vote to dissolve the protections afforded Twitter and any other site that acts as a publisher, censoring based on content and the gender and race and age of the author. Let’s stop enabling his Oval Office teas with EX.

Why do we need to take heed? Let Dorsey explain his content-based unceremonious dumping of liberal thinkers. He gets special protections under the law because he is allegedly not making editorial decisions. In fact by hanging his unspoken rules and whims like the Sword of Damocles over the necks of writers and excising them and their work at will, he is doing exactly that. Dr Bandy Lee got dumped from Yale for speaking her truth. Likewise Dorsey dumps people for truth-telling every day. The key is taking away his special protections under our laws. And competition. Twitter is so OUT!!
