Good morning my darlings and welcome to the day we have all been waiting for for nearly six years. While many eschew the idea that Trump will be taken into custody today, the bulk of Manhattan is on high alert for every kind of shenanigan from legal protests to treasonous insurrections to police barricades to white nationalist hillbillies
After the interminable false starts and dashed dreams, I refuse to get too excited until Trump is perp walked in handcuffs. I'll believe it when I see it.
I see this playing out more dangerously and violently than many others. Republican leaders have already begun parroting the Former Guy's cries of a politically-motivated prosecution, and these claims are being amplified by the execrable talking heads on Fox "News". Calls have been made for "protests", which we all know to be a euphemism for violence, and I am terrified that that is exactly what we will see.
P.S. I am NOT suggesting that he should not be indicted and arrested, only that we'd best be ready for what will follow (which won't only be in NYC).

The charges in NYC will be fairly minor as I understand it. Maybe a class E felony? Better to let this one fizzle.
