They hurt him, Amee, as he hurts himself. It’s not that there are so many undecideds left, it is that people who convinced themselves they had no reason to vote against Trump (or even to vote at all) are compelled to see their own self-interest in seeing Biden’s style return (not sartorial). For those who try to block the noise of politics from their lives they strain as the economy and virus wane and wax respectively... and know that there must be some collective alternative better than what’s landed us here. I see it when I drop political literature for way-down ballot candidates. People are hungry at their doors for reassurance that we can govern ourselves better and pull ourselves out of this mess. I can’t say for sure, but I do tell them it starts with a vote — theirs.

His recklessness angers me to no end. He spit on the graves of those who lost their lives to COVID and insulted those have had it and those still battling residual effects. I can speak of what I saw, today, when shopping. I am in KY, for starters, I saw less masks today. I also saw new tRump flags and yard signs. I don't think his theatrics hurt him, with his base, they are dug in. I don't listen to polls, they have become a deterrent to some. The only way to get rid of him is vote! I am just so damn done with this soulless clown. I loathe him and all his enablers.

I'm going to guess that his diagnosis helped him a little because we've stopped talking about his taxes and other scandals for five days and his is approval rating, per fivethirtyeight's aggregate, is up a couple of points at 43.7%.

His chances to win the election however are down to 17% in their model.

So I think Trump may have received a sympathy bump but not in the right places or with the right demographic? 🤯

Can you ask this question in ten days? Because I'm clearly clueless.

I go back and forth on this. On one hand, the COVID cluster at the White House focuses national attention back on the illness and his Administration's criminal mishandling of it. On the other, my innate pessimism said that when he was first diagnosed, he would recover and become even more of a hero/superman in the eyes of his brainwashed base. That unfortunately appears to be happening. I will be very curious to read the polls which have been completed after his diagnosis, especially those in Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Arizona, Minnesota, and now maybe Georgia and Texas, too.

And now he's back to denying its seriousness. WTF (pardon my language). I just despise him so much.

It will help him as much as most any of his actions, but only among those who view ignorance as strength. Any rational & decent human being wrote Trump off long ago.

In my opinion, Trump's Covid situation will hurt him as people want a strong, fit leader who can tackle big problems and I think a person like myself is scared about Social Security and Medicare cuts. My daughter who is a millennial wants a fit President and we have both talked about this at great length so we are both voting for Joe and Kamala. I am going for the guy who can get on a bicycle and shows me he is fit. Being President is not an easy job and Trump's access to the nuclear codes scares me! I doubt Trump could get on a bicycle and there is so much more to consider when we elect a President. We have to have faith that the person will follow procedures but Trump fights everything and makes bad decisions. I have visited England and people have told me they feel sorry for me having Trump as my president. Our world leaders don't think much of Trump, except Putin of course! So there is a lot to consider and one has to look at a candidate's physical and mental state. Trump has shown he is unfit in both areas. We all must vote because our lives and the lives of our children depend on it! Joe listens to Science while Trump doesn't and we are in a grave situation with the pandemic. I think about all the lives lost and it could have been prevented if Trump had acted sooner. I know that I am disgusted by what Trump says and does and it is time to vote him out. I also want to sleep at night and I am very stressed out lately so looking forward to a new qualified President and that is Joe Biden!

I remember when you had COVID two years ago in March. 😜 You had ups and downs, feeling OK, then like you were run over by a truck. I predict this week he’ll go downhill and/or collapse in public. He’s on an unproven drug cocktail along with his UK Sudafed he snorts. Things are going to go downhill. Those swing voters will nudge left.

It will hurt him as he and his base always wanted to be seen as strong (and we need strength. I know his base will lie to themselves and to each other, like Ben Shapiro comparing him to Will Smith's character in "I am Legend", but anyone who wasn't already 100% on Trump Train will not be inclined to vote for him and it will chip away.

He wanted Joe to be seen as weak and confused, but it has given Joe more talking points to show Trump is unqualified physically and mentally and judgmentally, disobeying the advice of doctors, taking a joyride, fake photos taken 10 minutes apart to convey strength, gasping for breathe and now telling American people covid isn't so bad.

This all adds to his clear cognitive impairment and general ranting, as well as physical decline, struggling to walk down a ramp, and lift a glass of water. This is not the physical and mental toughness we need on either the national or world stage. (Sure, you can shove the Prime Minister of Montenegro out of the way but try that with Putin.)

Time to put the old horse out to pasture.
